 OCTOBER! Mambo the high energy,
popular dance from Cuba! Tuition by Ildalberto Alcala from Havana, Cuba! Friday 8th October 2010
We are delighted
to welcome Ildalberto Alcala “ex Havana Rumba choreographer from Havana, Cuba!” & his dance partner Sarah
to teach us Mambo and entertain us tonight – Suitable for ALL - The mambo is a favourite of ballroom audiences because
of its high energy level and infectious rhythms. Popularized in recent years by singers such as Ricky Martin, the Mambo is
fascinating and diverse.
The Mambo dance originated in Cuba as a mixture of Afro-Caribbean and Latin American cultures.
The Mambo is believed to have been named after the voodoo priests who thought they could send dancers into hypnotic states.

how to pimp up your Salsa moves!" Tuition by Miguel Ramirez and Martina Tessaro Friday 12th
November 2010
Tonight a night with a difference!!! A class specifically designed by Miguel and Martina to
teach you how to dazzle on the dance floor. Are you a good dancer, know the basics, some good turn sequences, but want to
shine and learn some new skills, then this workshop us for you. Tonight we will include spin techniques for the ladies, mans
styling to show you how look like a true Cuban man! Musical interpretation and ways to finish your dance in style! We will
split the ladies and the men and teach you a routine separately to include all the above elements and then everyone will come
together and that’s where the fun begins!

DECEMBER! Reggaeton - The
Latin Hip hop upbeat sexy dance! Tuition by the Legendary Leandro Charanger from Havana, Cuba Friday 10th December
We are delighted to
welcome Leandro Charanger to guest teach, entertain and dazzle us! When Leandro arrived in the UK in 2007, Leandro Charanger
was immediately crowned 'The Reggaeton King'. 100% Cuban, he is one of the most charismatic performers around today.
Leandro's style is unique and wildly entertaining. His fusion of raw-energy Reggaeton from the backstreets of Havana and
his classical ballet education could only happen in Cuba. Reggaeton is a relatively new genre of
dance music that has become popular in Puerto Rico over the last decade. The name is derived from the reggae music of Jamaica
which influenced Reggaeton's dance beat. Reggaeton was also heavily influenced by other Puerto Rican music genres and
by urban hip-hop music craze in the United States.
